Coleslaw is a classic side dish and once you have the recipe it can easily be adapted to suit your taste. Try adding raisins and apples to give it a sweet twist, grated cheese adds a tangy creamy flavour or if you like your food spicy chilli flakes or curry powder will give it a bit of a kick.
This can be made a day ahead and chilled. Place in a airtight container and store in the fridge, once made this will last for up to 3 days.
